“Crux Regalecus Glesne” (Leviathan Cross)
Acrylic & Gilding on 300 g Canson Watercolor paper
8 x 11 in (20 x 27 cm)
The so-called “Leviathan Cross” completed with a depiction of the true leviathan (or sea serpent) of ancient sailor legend, the Giant Oarfish scientifically named Regalecus glesne. A fish so enormous and bizarre looking that without corpses people would have never believed it was real and not an imaginary creature.
